my mum was born 1900at no1 von blucher square as the pub was then called . would that house be on this photo. can anybody help me with this many thans JACK OSWALDTWISTLE

Hi Jack, this isn't the same Alexandra Hotel that was built on Von Blucher Square. Von Blucher Square was opposite the open cast mine area of Whelley where the modern day Alexandra Hotel stands today. My ancestors also lived in Von Blucher Square in the late 1800's and I have relatives who can remember the area. Christine
